The management of where I work has decided that it's provincial branch-all seven of us will be put in permanent work from home arrangement a few months after the height of the pandemic last 2020. With that being said, we have to be very wise on how we have to manage our work-life balance more so when our work prior to pandemic can't be brought at home to be continued even after office hours.
Just to give you a little background of me (understandable-I've had this page since 2012 and I took breaks in between whenever this feels like a chore to me; this will always be a passion project slash online diary of mine), I have a toddler, a husband who also has a WFH slash he goes to the office whenever he wants to and my mom who's a fill-in whenever we have to go on errands without my son. Prior to working with my company for four years now, I was a full-time mom for a year and that was the most difficult job ever.
Since there is no house help, I have to juggle in being a full-time mom, an employee and a side-hustler in between whenever my schedule permits and most of the time, it gets the best of me. I know I am not the only one in the same situation and sometimes, when I want to fully concentrate on my work for straight hours, co-working spaces are also subject to availability and I only know of one in the city where I live.
When my friend Dee has extended her invitation from Oakridge to Janine and I, I immediately RSVP'd. I was at Oakridge Horizon Cafe last Mothers' Day with my relatives and I enjoyed the experience.
We were invited around late afternoon in time for sunset-this is an unfiltered photo and this view inside the Oakridge Executive Club is so dreamy.
Oakridge Executive Club is located at Oakridge Business Park, 12/F Oakridge IT Center 2, 880 AS Fortuna St., Banilad Mandaue City Cebu.
